1. Warranty Coverage

DUKAP LIFE® warrants its digital bathroom weight scales (models DK8012, DK18X, and DK69Z) to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of original purchase. This warranty applies only when the scale is used under normal household conditions.

If a defect in materials or workmanship appears within the warranty period, DUKAP LIFE® will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the product with a scale of equal or greater value (less shipping and handling) in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth herein.

2. What Is Covered

This limited warranty covers the following defects when they arise under normal use:

• Electronic sensor malfunctions or failure of the 4-strain gauge accuracy sensors

• LCD or LED display defects, including failure of the backlit screen

• Step-on auto ON/OFF function failure not caused by battery issues

• Structural defects in the 6mm tempered glass platform under normal use

• Defects in the bottom plastic cover or base components

• Unit selection switch (Kg/Lb/ST) failure under normal operation

• Overload indicator failure or persistent inaccurate weight readings (not caused by improper placement)

3. What Is NOT Covered

This warranty does not cover, and DUKAP LIFE® will not be responsible for, damage or failure resulting from:

• Normal wear and tear of any component

• Damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, or negligence

• Damage resulting from dropping the scale or placing it on uneven surfaces

• Cracked or shattered tempered glass caused by impact or excessive force

• Water damage, spills, or use in high-humidity environments beyond normal bathroom use

• Battery leakage or corrosion damage

• Repairs, modifications, or alterations made by anyone other than authorized DUKAP LIFE® personnel

• Damage caused by use beyond the maximum weight capacity of 400 lb (180 kg)

• Cosmetic damage that does not affect the functionality of the scale (scratches, scuffs, fading)

• Products purchased from unauthorized resellers or through secondary markets

• Use for commercial, rental, or non-household purposes

• Loss or theft of the product

4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

To initiate a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

• Step 1 — Contact Customer Service: Email info@dukapgear.com or call 1-844-554-6872 (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm ET) to report the defect and describe the issue. Include your name, address, phone number, order number, and the scale model (found on the bottom of the unit).

• Step 2 — Obtain a Return Authorization Number (RA#): DUKAP LIFE® will review your claim and, if approved, issue an RA# and return instructions. Products returned without an RA# will not be accepted or processed.

• Step 3 — Return the Product: Ship the scale, along with the RA#, a copy of your original purchase receipt, and all original accessories and packaging, to our facility. The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

• Step 4 — Inspection & Replacement: Once received, DUKAP LIFE® will inspect the returned scale within 5 business days. If the defect is confirmed and covered under this warranty, a replacement will be shipped at our expense.

5. Warranty Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for warranty service, the following conditions must be met:

• The claim must be submitted within 30 days of the original purchase date

• Proof of purchase (original receipt or order confirmation) must be provided

• The scale must have been purchased from DukapLife.com or an authorized retailer

• The warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable

• This warranty is valid only within the Continental United States; it does not apply to international purchases

• The scale must have been used according to the instructions provided in the product manual

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THIS WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY FOR DUKAP LIFE® DIGITAL BATHROOM SCALES AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

DUKAP LIFE®'s liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective product. In no event shall DUKAP LIFE® be liable for any incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use or personal injury, arising from the use or inability to use the product, even if DUKAP LIFE® has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
